Artist Statement: I began painting in 2009. I always enjoyed drawing and sketching in school, but when I picked up the brush, drawing became my passion. I am a self taught artist. With God’s help… on my own strength these works of art could not be done. Phillipians 4:13

I sign my work with the name Hand in Hand Art. As a couple this work goes hand in hand for us. My husband Delmar loves to work with different pieces of wood to create frames for my work or pieces for me to paint on, as I love creating art. Another reason for the name is that we believe when we put our hands in God’s hand He will guide and help us create these works of art. We are very grateful for the talents God has given us.

We believe each of you have a special talent from God as well. May we all use our talents for His glory.

We are from Shipshewana, Indiana, and are members of the Old Order Amish Church. Many of the animals featured in my work are from our farm. Animals are my favorite subject matter, they are so expressive and beautiful!
