Emily Caito

Sculpture Artist

Using lost wax bronze casting, Emily is able to create very hard edged planar forms that convey an extremely delicate gesture.  Her animal castings reflect a lifelong love of creatures as well as an interest in expressing mechanics and anatomy in a new way.  Elements of Art Deco and Futurism are fused with nature to create a unique style.

Originally from Indianapolis, Emily moved to Ohio in 2002 to attend the University of Cincinnati where she received her BFA.  She is an elected member of the prestigious National Sculpture Society.  Emily continues to refine her skills as an artist and craftsperson working as the lead at Casting Arts and Technology, a fine art bronze foundry, for over sixteen years.
