A stunning example of craftsmanship, this .62 Caliber Smoothbore Flintlock was made by noted Pennsylvania gunsmith C. R. Vandenburg, dating to 1989. Featuring a Maple wood gunstock, with a barrel and lock both engraved with gunmaker C. Vandenburg’s name and initials, as well as extensive Brass hardware, this is a wonderful reproduction of what would have been an Indian headman or chief’s trade gun, rather than belonging to a common individual. This is evidenced by the quality of the gun itself, as well as the beautiful brass decoration that would not generally have been added to trade guns.

This gun in particular is known as an incredibly fast and accurate shooter, and has won numerous competitions in the past. Serving equally well as a flintlock you can compete with or a mantlepiece that is sure to be a conversation starter, this will be a valuable addition to any collection.
