Artist Spotlight

Botanical Portraits Inspired by a Country Garden

Cheryl’s work has an immediate effect on many viewers… calming, soothing, brightening, energizing… Cheryl takes nature at its finest and transfers it onto paper or other media in such a way that one is instantly connected to the subject of the piece, whether it be a pine branch with cones, her wildly popular ‘pie pumpkin’, or one of the many beautiful flowers she brings to life with incredible color, depth, and detail. We are delighted to be able to feature Cheryl as our April Artist Spotlight.

Having had an appreciation for drawing, nature, and gardening early on, Cheryl began her career as an artist in the early 1980’s when she was approached by a family friend and asked to render a local historic building in graphite.

After exploring several different media and subjects along the way Cheryl has now combined her love of gardening with her art…

Always possessing a fascination with detail, much of Cheryl’s recent work has concentrated on botanical subjects that are drawn in colored pencil or graphite.

The inspiration for this art form is found nearby… Cheryl is an avid gardener and explorer of the natural world around her home.

Cheryl is a lifelong resident of NE Ohio, and resides with her husband in nearby Dundee, OH.

We offer original works from Cheryl, as well as prints, framed prints, notecards, and more here at the Gallery. Contact us with questions on any particular piece and we’ll be happy to ship to you!
